Full Moon = Täysikuu = Telikuukle = Τέλειε Κύκλε

Täysi is from Proto-Uralic *täwde. Some other descendants include Hungarian tele, Nganasan ťerə, and Komi döla. Täysi is also seen in the word Täydellinen, meaning ‘complete/perfect’, as in Greek Téleios/Téleie (Τέλειος, ‘complete/perfect’), and Tetelesmen- (Τετελεσμένος, etc.: Something which has been completed/fulfilled).

Perfect = Täydellinen/Täydellisen = Tedele(s)men, Tele/Teli = Τετελεσμεν-, Τέλειος

Because modern greek Τέλει- is pronounce “Teli-“, both ‘telikuukle’ and ‘telekuukle’ are allowed.

I have discussed Kuu < *kuŋe < Kuukle (Κύκλε) in earlier posts.

Kuu = Kuukle/Kúkle/Kyykle/Kýkle = Κύκλε (circle, ring, sphere, circular movement)

Kotso telekuukle! = Look at the full moon!

Kode kuukle kikloon, tedelemenontae = When the moon is a circle, it’s been fulfilled

Eraakesθaen kode velkokuukle isoon = I love when the white moon is big
